2023 MINI CRUSH softball- Grades K (if completed T-ball), 1 & 2 (grade going into fall 2023) 

Huskies Fastpitch Club

• This is an in-house HFC program emphasizing fundamental softball skill development using fun and creative drills appropriate for this age group.

• $30/player- Mail to Huskies Fastpitch Club, PO Box 1035, Owatonna MN 55060.

• Players will learn the proper techniques for throwing, catching, fielding, batting, base running, and good sportsmanship. 

• Practices will primarily focus on skill development drills and stations, will consist of smaller groups and will include fun competitions throughout to showcase skill development.

• In-house games will be played in July. Coach pitching will be used.

• Each participant will receive a uniform, consisting of a shirt and socks.  Sizes needed at the time of registration.

• Players will be grouped together by grade.  Coach Abby Olson will notify players in late May regarding the first practice.

• Monday and Wednesday evenings June thru July (except the week of July 3rd) from 5:30-6:45 pm.

• General Registration: has closed.

2023 Owatonna Crush 10U Fastpitch Softball:

• A competitive travel program for –

  • Players born 2012-2013

• Schedule will consist of approximately one game per week (Wednesdays), at least one practice per week, and up to 2 tournaments, plus an optional state tournament.  Coaches will notify players regarding the first practice date and season schedule.

• Fees: 

  • $200 Registration fee

  • $105 Fundraiser fee 

  • $200 Worker deposit (must be a separate check, will be returned if family works required hours)

• Each player receives a team jersey.  Black pants and socks are to be supplied by the player.  

• A photocopy of player's birth certificate will be needed at the time of registration.  This is needed for tournaments. 

• Registration must be done in 2 steps:

1) Pre-register has closed:  Register online via the HFC website, (www.owatonnafastpitch.com) 

2) February 26, 2023: attend this registration event @ McKinley Elementary between 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm to pay fees, submit a copy of your player's  birth certificate, pick up fundraiser items and select jersey size. McKinley is located 1050 22nd St NE, Owatonna. 

• Evaluations will be conducted on Sunday, April 23, 2023 at Manthey Park from 12pm to 1:30pm (all players) and 1:30-2:15pm (pitchers and catchers). Teams will be divided among equal skill level.  A mandatory parent meeting will be held on evaluation day from 1:30-2:00 pm at the Manthey Shelter House.

2023 Owatonna Crush 14U Fastpitch Softball:

• A competitive travel program for –

• Players born 2008-2009

• Schedule includes 2 league games per week,  1-2 practices per week, and 2-3 tournaments, plus a state tournament.  Coaches will notify players regarding the first practice date and season schedule.

• Fees: 

• $450 Registration fee 

• $100 uniform fee (jersey + pants)

• $105 Fundraiser fee

• $200 Worker deposit (must be a separate check, will be returned if family works required hours)

• Registration fees are non-refundable after accepting a roster spot.

• A photocopy of player's birth certificate will be needed at the time of registration.  This is needed for tournaments. 

• Registration must be done in 2 steps:

1) Step 1: Registration is closed.  

2) Step 2: you must attend the in-person registration event on February 26, 2023 at McKinley Elementary School between 5:00pm and 7:00pm to pay fees, submit a photocopy of birth certificate, pick up fundraiser packet and select uniform sizes.     

• Evaluations were conducted on August 2, 2022 from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm (and 6:30 pm - 7:00 pm for pitchers and catchers). (Rain date August 3rd.)  A $20 fee is due at the time of evaluations.  $20 will be taken off your registration fee if the player is offered and accepts a roster spot.  After evaluations, teams will be announced and players will have 48 hours to accept a roster spot and pay the registration fee. 

2023 JUNIOR CRUSH softball– Grades 3 & 4 (grade going into fall 2023)

  • Players born in 2013 or 2014 may participate in either Junior Crush OR the U10 traveling league (if age eligible) but not both since they may be held on the same nights. Players must be at least 9 years old on January 1, 2023 to participate in the U10 traveling program. 

• Players will continue development of proper techniques for throwing, catching, fielding, batting, base running, and good sportsmanship, while also learning the fundamentals of pitching, catching, bunting, and game situations.

• Practices will primarily focus on skill development drills and stations, some games and other fun competitions throughout to showcase skill development.

• In-house games will be played in July.  Coach pitching will be used.

• Fees: 

• $325 Registration fee

• $105 Fundraiser fee

• $200 Worker deposit (must be a separate check, will be returned if family works required hours)

• $100 uniform fee, if needed (jersey + pants)

• $105 Fundraiser fee

• $200 Worker deposit (must be a separate check, will be returned if family works required hours)

• Registration fees are not refundable after accepting a roster spot.
